Changing Wheel Bearings

I am thinking about changing my rear wheel bearing myself on my '06 Grand Prix. I bought it already but have not took the wheel off. My question is, can anyone give me some input on this. I obviously have to use the same bolts but how are they to take off?

righty tighty, lefty loosie, :th_laugh-pointup:

rears are pretty easy id think, take the wheel off, the brakes, rotor, and caliper bracket. then take the bolts off the back , un hook the abs wire, then beat it off the car.

being a 06 your e brake should be part of the caliper, so no need to deal with that part.

ive heard of a few not coming out, dont worry tho, just use what ever socket fits best, metric or standard i think its a 13 mm or 1/2 inch. and use 6 sided sockets, they hold the bolt better.

if you have a small 3/8 breaker bar or a short pipe that fits your socket wrench thats the best way to break them free. that extra 6 inches always helps.

good luck. if you can do brakes, this is not much more work.

good time to change them if needed as well. being they will be coming off the car anyways.
