Changing plugs. Cant get the wires unplugged.

When I owned my 97 it had OEM wires and Changing the plugs was a breeze.(For a GP) and the wires would come right out everytime. My01 has aftermarket wires and all I can tell is that they are red, and look to be 8-10mm, Tayors maybe? Here is my problem, I can't get them unplugged from the tops of the plugs. I tried all 3 in the front. They wont budge. I havnt even tried the back. I dont want to ruin my wires when I unplug them since they look brand freakin new. How do you guys get em out? Btw they come right off the packs like you would expect.

Are you twisting, then pulling? If not try that. Other thenvthat try using a sp wire puller or big pliers if you're careful.

Grab a t-shirt or gloves and don't be afraid to give them a good yank.

pull harder. This is why you use Dielectric grease when installing them....

Grab a pair of channel locks and grab the boot (NOT THE WIRE, DON'T YANK ON THE WIRE) and twist and pull as hard as you can.

My way for super stuck wires entails new plugs and wires. But ya get to use the BFH! :th_laugh-lol3:

There's no need for that. Typically if the wires fight that much, they are toast.

I got them all off without breaking them and ran them for another year I still have them as back ups
