Changing Back Spark Plugs

It looks like its going to be hell trying to change the rear spark plugs. Does anyone have any tricks or know where a 'How-To' article is to get at them?
 


You could rock the motor forward, but i had no problems getting to them without doing that. They arent as bad as they look.
 
With headers, no they aren't...but with stock manifolds, it sucks. Remove the dog bones and rock the motor forward ;)
 


Get a midget and have him crawl back there and pull them out. But seriosly, just drive the car up in front of something you can put a ratcheting tie down on and pull the 2 dog bone mounts off, put the tie down on the front engine hook, then just ratchet the engine forward until you can get back there without breaking a nail. Sorry I had to. That's the way I've always done it with 90* and 60* degree GM engines.
 
Take the bolts out of the motor mounts and use a pry bar to pull motor back. On the motor mounts there are holes on the bottom side push bolts through there and it holds the motor up.
 


Ever check the trannyfuild on a 3.4 I think it is? The fill cap is right under the crossover and you have to pull out a plug underneath and fill it till it runs out. It sucks.

ha did my plog last thursday and started doing it 15 min after turning the car off... my hands are just starting to feel better :th_bangheadonwall:
 
Best said by one of my buddy's after I refused to pull the plug wire next to his hot header...

And preceded to roast the side of this hand pulling out the plug wire. What a bad ass.
 


hehe... did it myself for the first time last weekend and learned from these posts... saw the pic of the guy's arse all up in the air under the hood... yeah, I lived it too :) good times. As for rocking the engine, I found after a little work (thirty minutes of putzing to learn, I can now rock the car forward pulling on the bumper(ish) area and push in a retaining screw to hold the engine forward in under a few rocks ;)
