I changed the EPC in my wife's 2003 Grand Prix today. I snapped a couple pictures so you get an idea of what it takes to get it done. I pretty much spent the day out in the garage doing it. I have a lift and that made it much easier. Changing it without a lift would be a much bigger job.
Here it is with the cover off. You can see that you have to bust the suspension apart and drop the cradle on the left side. The engine needs to be lowered so the cover will clear the body.
The engine has to be supported when you drop the cradle.
Here is a picture of the solenoid. A small clip holds it in place.
All back together ..... shifts like a dream!!
