• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Central NY peeps

The only major thing right now, is usually the UNYCGP summer picnic. Other than that, some guys from that club regularly go to NYIRP and set up a club bracket race for points during the year.

I think alot of guys will want to go to the existing car shows, to mostly watch, but some enter their rides... locally: Syr Nat'ls, SC & Truck Blast, etc... and we'll be heading out to 3800 events like Buick or Pontiac Nationals, and Intense Drag Day in Ohio, and the Carlisle event in PA.

I'll be getting the guys on my CNY forum to get together weekly, most likely at the Sylvan Beach Thursday shows, so we're not by ourselves and bored after a while with only a handful of cars. If you guys want to check out some big turbo and blower setups, feel free to stop out. If you want to have one of your own, save some money then PM me. ;) We don't do much for autocross with our FWD boats, but a trip to ESTA, NYIRP, or Lebanon Valley will happen from time to time.

Wilson, we can do a nice swap into yours if you wanted (cheaper insurance). My old roommate has a wild 96 he swapped & we did alot of work to, and it looks alot meaner than a 97+ that you'd expect an L67 to be in (every mod possible helps).

thats an awesome pic. so clean.... i wish my engine bay didnt have all the clutter. oh, and a supercharger would be nice too!!:th_mischievious:

when is this picnic and when do you guys start meeting thursday nights? i might be able to make it up there from binghamton to hang out a few times.

hey Wilson13081...uhh last time i saw one for sale it was a silver sedan 2001 GTP...on Geddes...on like the west side....around downtown kinda...i cant remember the name of the place tho...i think i might know of sumone else that is selling one but id have to see...where in Syracuse do you live? i live in eastwood

I'm in the Solvay area! I'd like to spend arond $3500.

Dezldave961- That pic is sick! I actually have a 3800 s/c motor so I'd like to get a 97+ plus I'd like to be able to do some mods to the car and unfortunetly there is **** out there to do that with my 95. She's a beautiful car though the paint/body are in amazing condition for her age!

I think the 94-96 coupe's are just sexy as-is, but that's just my opinion. As far as "mods" that would be different, having a 3800SC in either car, it's nothing different. The 96 in the picture has every engine mod under the sun (XPZ, Gen V, Stg3 IC, Stg 4 heads, walbro pump, ZZP rails, elec WP, forged block, headers, N* throttle, boost-a-pump and bigger injectors, etc...) As far as exterior, anything can get different wheels, tint, and decals. There's not much more the newer cars have possible... tinted tails & HID's can go on both - HID pic (my buddy actually did body-color over the checkered tails - TAIL pic), projectors in 97-03... body kits and ricer tails are highly frowned upon for either. Aftermarket hoods and spoilers are really the only notable difference.

I guess, if you ever want to sell that 95, you know who's interested in buying it for an L67 swap for fun. :D

Thank you for all the info, I've been giving it a lot of thought. I think the biggest thing is I'm just ready for a bit of change and love the 97+ body styles. I probably wouldn't mind selling her if I knew I could find a GTP I really liked :) It would be a very open and honest sale and I have no problem listing every known problem with the car. There is not many but a few worth mentioning. She's a perfect candidate for a motor swap, the body is extremely straight but the motor is showing its age. Interior is also very clean except for a few minor details.

The NYMCGP (NY Metro ClubGP) local group is fairly large, and has some pretty active members. If you want to hear from more than just the folks who've found this forum, that's a great place to look.

any one thinking of going out to e.s.t.a this year ???? they have an open test and tune on april 19 i belive

I may take the MP112 setup with my slicks, just to see if i can get a number before blowing the axles/tranny.

We're also building a Utica dude's '04 GS with a monster turbo build in a few weeks, for a big Norwalk Buick Event in May. We'll definitely bring it to shake down a couple times 1st.

Not bad, welcome.

Here's the current project in the Rome shop right now:

86 Fiero GT with L67 swap (XP & I/C) owned by a PA guy
Fiero032009001-1.jpg

I just finished upgrading the computer from a 95 SSEi OBD1 to a 98 GTP OBD2, so I can now PowrTune it. Now I'm installing dual Aeroforces, SSAC headers, C6 Vette exhaust tips, custom 96-99 N*TB setup, and engine bay clean-up for shows.

After this, a few guys are getting top-swaps, along with the turbo GS build (L32 for that is now on engine stand w/ L26 top).

Set-up some meets, I'll be sure to bring a few guys around.
