Catch Can

Hey guys I've been talking to couple guys who are running a catch can. Anyone using a custom intake like mine who is running one?
I want to stop my oil spray in the engine bay, but at the same time I want the pressure to be able to escape.

you could run breather tube from the front (or rear) valve cover with an air/oil separater in line with it and then run it to the intake post MAF.

i see a big intake manifold where it would be easy to put a nipple on...

that would depend on the size of the tubing youre using. the rest is up to you.

You would pressurize the valve covers then??



There are many different options but you would want to tap into both valve covers and then have these lines tie into a catch can with a breather on it. It's basically just relocating your breather so there is room for a catch can for the oil instead. With also the benefit of venting the rear bank properly.

There was a thread on clubgp, but now i don't see it and search blows.

You can search more on it, some people just make it out of capped pvc piping and some steel wool to catch the oil. Just need 2 inlets, a breather and a way to drain it after catching it(steel wool).

metered air should continue being metered air, right? it needs to go back to the intake somewhere..
