Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Cat-back exhaust system

none of the catbacks will come with a cat.

the catback will net you nothing but a change in sound.

^^Exactly...unless your pushing some serious power...and no catback comes with a cat...hence cat-BACK system

so you can get either a 2.5" or 3" downpipe with a high flow cat and ubend delete all in one pipe that bolts right in. then you can decide to keep your stack cat-back, or change it to an aftermarket one

So downpipes are what the cats are attached to? Would getting a catless downpipe be an option or would the o2 sensor be a problem?

I've been planning on getting some ssac headers which come with a 3" Downpipe, so maybe now is the time. If I bought a 3" cat would it work with the ssac stuff?

-the downpipe is the section of the exhaust between the rear exhaust manifold and resonator that does include the cat and 1 o2 sensor
-headers will come with their own downpipe so if u want headers don't waste the money on a downpipe and just go straight to headers

Thanks for the answers. I wasn't sure, but the O2 sensor is in the cat isn't it?

I just don't want to get the wrong parts or have something not fit. I'm not sure what the stock exhaust size is but I'm guessing either 2.5" or 2". So if I got a 3" cat to go from the new downpipe to the stock exhaust, I would need some sort of fitting so they would connect right?

I plan on getting a catback system eventually, but my main focus is changing the downpipe/catalytic converter because the one I have right now is bad.

EDIT: After reading to your answers and thinking about it, I made a new topic narrowing down what I want to do. Please check it out and help if you can!

GM put the highly restrictive U-bend in the pipe to accommodate the o2 sensor, thats why aftermarket dp's will have the bung for the sensor on the side, its less restrictive
