Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

cartuning

i emailed kevin at cartuning back in the summer around july, still waiting on a response....... lol ohh and i have tryed to call a few times.:th_thumb-down:

Yeah he is not an easy guy to get ahold of by calling but I have been pretty lucky with it so far, but by PM's he answers a lot I hear.

look at all the guys on clubgp who had problems with kevin, and never heard any response back, or would take months to hear from him.
the wastegate on the Z3 is right behind the throttle body, the wastegate on the cartuning is over the rear valvecover...maybe im wrong? open dump is great who doesnt love the woosh sound?? the cartuning kit is a proven kit, but there are better out there such as the Z3...dude its your money, you wanna pour 10grand into a fwd car go right ahead

Like I said before, the wastegate location on the Z3 is the same location on the cartuning kit, just open dumped on the Z3. The Z7 kit is the one that has the wastegate location next to the throttle body, on the crossover. The wastegate on the cartuning kit is not over the valve cover either. The woosh sound does not come from running a open dump wastegate either, it comes from a blow off valve. The wastegate is what opens when the desired boost level is reached and releases exhaust pressure, so the exhaust tone would just get louder if running open dump wastegate... I don't even care if i sound like a dick, that was too much to type to go back through and undickify it! lol

So the only things you would change for the CT kit would be the wastegate, add a bung, and a bigger turbo? (which will come down the road I think I will be good with the 61 for a bit.)
Well I think some of these things are things you would do with any of these turbo kits. The other thing I forgot to mention was the dp comes really close to the rear valve cover, enough that you might have to unbolt the dp near the turbo and move it a bit to loosen the rear valve cover bolt. There is not much space between the brake booster and the rear head for a 2.5" pipe to go.

I wouldn't worry about him too much, most of the kit is sound enough and known well to get other vendors to offer parts for the kit or ask other people for solutions or parts.

Thank you Jeremy :th_thumb-up: I will probably be back with more questions and stick around to the turbo section more often even though there aren't that many posts here each day.
