Carcrobatic's White '00 GT ... SOLD!

Re: '00 GT "White Lightning"

Car is clean.

Heres my .02 cents:

Dont mod your N/A it honestly wont be worth it.

Save your money and buy a top swap kit, either find the parts at a Junk Yard or better yet find the parts here, on this website in the "For Sale" section.

Use your money to top swap your car and then go from there.

But the best idea out of them all, go turbo. With roughly $2500 you can buy yourself a Z3 Turbo kit. <------ thats the best route to go. Either top swap or turbo. Dont mod the N/A.

Thanks for the feedback.
I don't have any plans for modding the n/a, I'm just sticking to breathing mods for now. I really like the idea of top swapping but I don't think I'll follow through with that for a while. I'm not too much of a power junkie, but before I go for more power I want to make sure the car is balanced enough for the upgrade.

Re: '00 GT "White Lightning"

Hey if ya have it...spend it! :D
Exactly! I'd rather buy parts that were specifically designed for the car over anything else, it looks a lot better that way!

Not to mention I live with California's crazy emissions regulations. My dad is also on my ass about everything I do to the car. It's not easy here!

Re: '00 GT "White Lightning"

If you are careful with your research, you can mod. your N/A with parts that will still work with a top swap. But definitely make sure your car is solid b4 you mod.

Re: '00 GT "White Lightning"

I don't see how boost for $1,400-$1,500 could possibly be a waste of money. Great quality parts, one hellova fun project, and +50whp is music to my ears.

Re: '00 GT "White Lightning"

well considering you can buy a top swap for about 500 and if you are spending that much id just go turbo

Re: '00 GT "White Lightning"

Because you can junkyard shop and do it for a third of the price, that's why.

I'm sure all WBS is sending you are refurbished parts.

I sold my last top swap for $350 and Ive seen many go for under $500 so a top swap is the way to go IMO.

And yea sure you can go turbo, but your not going very far with a turbo on a stock trans so plan on another $1500 minimum for a decent built trans

Depends on shape of transmission and driving style.

It can be done...and a base turbo kit would wax a top swapped car with other babbles and bolt-ons.
