i am having problems with my car if anyone has an idea please let me know. it was running fine at lunch but when i went to leave work it wouldnt stay running. it will start just fine and run for a couple of seconds and then die. i replaced the fuel filter but didnt solve the problem. doesnt hold pressure on the fuel rail. starts at 40 psi and once the car is running it goes down to nothing. hasnt givin me any codes yet. it is a 98 gtp. if anyone has an idea please pm me and let me know. thanks

Your going to need to post much more information than that, or no one can help you.

As of right now, given the information you've provided. I'd say you blew your motor up.

Ah, seeing as you've now edited your original post to include more information on whats going on, heres what you need to do.

Your problem is more than likely your fuel pump resistor.

Go to the fuse box under your hood, open it and bend the tab in the picture above. It puts your fuel pump in high mode and will fix your problem if thats the case.

FINALLY, ive been searching for 20 minutes on how to do the fuel pump resistor mod, and finally found it!

so if this mod fixes my problem, does that mean the resistor is bad, or the pump is failing??? if its the resistor, how much do those cost, on average?

edit: crap, just realized the pic says for 97-00..... guess ill go give it a looksie anyways...
