alright parked my car the night before... go out the next morning to leave... turn the key and it just clicks once... couldnt tell where the click was coming from... wouldnt jump so i figured its the starter that is the issue... went and got a rebuilt starter that they showed me worked when i picked it up... get it home put it in... connect everything back up... go to turn the key... and just a single click again this time i know it for a fact was from the starter... i need a lil help here cuz im lost so im getting ready to go check all the wires to the starter and make sure they are getting power... other than that i dont have a clue... quick help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I had almost the same issue when I had my trans replaced. It turned out to be corrosion on the starter connections

well its a new starter on there and connections seem to be good... cuz even just touching the meter to the stud where the 4 gauge power wire connects is good... what exactly is the purple wire for? im assuming its a ground cuz there is not much power to that smaller stud for the purple wire nor the wire that connects the solenoid to the starter...

if your starter is same as the 2003's and down then the small purple wire on solenoid is the S terminal which passes 12 volts to solenoid only when the key is turned to crank the engine. test it any way you can while a helper turns the key. also use a screw driver to touch the small purple wire stud and the other stud with the positive battery wire on it to see if starter cranks engine. careful you dont touch it with the wire that goes from other stud to the starter motor cause thats a ground. if it cranks then current is not getting to ignition or current aint getting past it. if it doesnt crank engine, then that means bad ground at transmission where the wire connects or at battery or starter housing. hope this helps
