Car wants to die while turning

Bedwards

Since I did my cam install, my car wants to die on sharp, slow left turns. It seems to only happen on a cold engine. I have to give it gas, as the RPM drops down to around 400. I know sharp turns put a greater load on the power steering pump, which affects engine performance, but this is way past normal.

Odd, it's understandable because the car is in gear on decel usually. So it's trying to idle around 650rpm. Which can be tough depending on the cam. Then add the stress of AC and PS to the idle heading down. That's the typical issue. Bump a little takes care of that.

however Brandon, with you.. we know you might come up with some really oddball issue that we'll have a heck of a time figuring out. :)

Its just strange that it only does it when cold. Maybe I'll have to tweak the AFR too, as it's a lot richer on a cold start.

Haha, yea I tend to find ways to implode minds in this forum.

I’d check for bare wires in the engine compartment. I’d start with the spark plugs then move onto sensors. Many times after ppl have messed with there engine the plug wires lay different afterwards and get melted through.
