We were in the process of taking the timing chain cover off, it was one more step to check this. I thought it was the woodruff key, turns out it was the whole damn cam. And yes, it was the XP-Hot from ZZP.

Must have been a flaw with that specific cam sent to you, I've never even heard of a cam breaking. Quite a find

One more, a little closer up. The metal is physically twisted - it would be fascinating if it wasn't gonna cost me several hundred and many hours to fix!

It came with the car when I bought it used. It was in pretty good condition though.
