Car takes longer to start

So I just replace the positive battery terminal bolt so I can add another cable for my amp when I gets here and after I installed it the car took longer to fire up. It took a good 4-5 seconds of cranking before it fired. Now the battery terminals on the battery and on the cable are VERY corroded (I didn't have any rubbing alcohol to clean them up) could this be the problem? Before it didn't take as long with the factory bolt. I drove it for about 7 min to the gas station bought a pop and the car started up a little easier. Did this just happen because I had the battery disconnected because I have done this before but this time I took off the Positive cable and not just the negative. I'm thinking that the corrosion after replacing the bolt just made it harder to fire up. Hope someone can help me otherwise the 350$ worth of audio equipment for my car might have to go back. Hope I am in the right section.
 


Clean up the termianls.


And while your under the hood, pull the vac line off the FPR and see if you smell/see fuel come out, thats could be a cause to your long cranks.

yes that is why. mine usually tuns over on like 1/2 a crank, but after un hooking the battery every time,( if more than 20 to 30 minutes) it will crank like 3 times around before it starts. but only do it one or two times, then go back to normal.

you just reset the pcm and its relearning.
 


When you were installing this super new stuff, how many times did you turn the key on and off without starting the engine to test things out?

Each time you turn the key on w/o starting it..the fuel pump and injectors always prime the cylinders with a little fuel. Do that 3+ times and there's a bit of excess fuel in there. Yes, it'll take longer to start.

It's totally normal and you caused it. You also fixed the problem the moment you got the car running.
