OK, my grandfather passed a week ago and everything will be in the process of being sold including his car. He had a 2008 Ford Taurus that he bought over the summer. This car is going to sit in the garage until it is sold. Is there anything that should be done if the car is going to sit for a few months? O....the car is being sold if anyone would be interested.
 


a few months might be okay, but if youre worried about it put it on jack stands so that the tires arent on the ground. maybe a car cover just because?

Like Bio said, maybe a cover, jack stands, some of that gas stuff. I know someone will chime in with other information. I'm not sure but it might be good to go and start it up every once in a while.
 
honestly... just a car cover. the tires nowa days will not get flat spots from just a few months... and fuel wont break down from just a few months.

Or just fire it up every now and then and also you might wanna try to call some ford dealerships they might buy it. I know I just sold my 06Corolla BACK to the dealership I got it from.
 
I thought unconnecting the battery might be a good idea...that is what we did to my buddy's Maxima which sat for almost 2 years...started up just fine after it got some new gas in it ;)
 
I would not really worry about the gas for a few months. Just a little stabilizer, we started a car with 7 year old gas in it. I think just the cover and you would be fine.
 
since it's in a garage i wouldnt do nothing lol...Maybe drive til the gas lite comes on...I've fixing to have to let my GP sit for over a year :( sad to say but sorry my wife ain't driving it :D
