1998 Regal GS stock.

It starts then bogs out then it starts and bogs out right away again. RPMS just kinda jump get a lil twitchy never goes above 2,000 RPM. It happend twice today so far. I read about Fuel Pump Resistor but does anyone have any other ideas or is this the best bet?

Also it has brand new autolites(stock heat range) and wires. Any ideas would be great or are we just lookin at the Fuel Pump Resistor here?

Does it still die if you give it gas?

Yea it still dies. I can get the RPMs up even tho the RPMs are jumpin alll over the place still. I found the Fuel Pump Resistor bypass writeup which Im going to try next time it happens... What were your thoughts tho with that question?????

See if Autozone, or somebody has a fuel rail gauge you can use. If that reading is crazy, then you might have a bad pump, resistor, relay, filter, have you used any cleaner in your tank, that'll plug up a system in a hurry if your tanks dirty.

Funny you say that. I cant remember but it was within the last 2 tanks I used Lucus cleaner. Sooooo what could that plug up just the filter or the whole sha-bang? Never knew tht could plug up a system if the tanks dirty. Learned sumthing new today.
