Car stalling at idle?

I put a new battery in after mine was dead for like 1 week car seemed to run a little rough and then ive noticed it seems to run ok then it will go from 500 rpm to 1500 rpm and stall out.
 


How long have you let it run. Sounds like it lost it's learned idle. Start it.. put it in D and hold the brake, keep engine running about 700-1000 rpm for a full minute.
