Car stalled out

Hey everyone, my 97 GP just stalled out when I was driving today. I can start it, but it only stays running for a second or two. Any suggestions for me? I checked the fuel pump fuse and it's fine, so the next thing I was thinking was the fuel pump itself. I also noticed a few days ago that the fuel pump makes a buzzing noise when I turn the car on.

Any suggestions will be helpful! Thanks!

I would check fuel pressure. Also, 97's have a fuel pump resistor that's known to go bad, so if you don't have pressure, make sure the pump is getting voltage.

OK, I hooked up my fuel pressure tester and when I turn the key to the on position, the system primes up to 50 PSI. I can start it and the pressure drops a little (which is expected), but after a few seconds, the pressure just keeps dropping and eventually goes to 0. Now that you mention the resistor, might it be that? I could see that maybe the mode with more resistance on the resistor pack would go out and cause this...

Yep, that fixed my problem. So if I drive it with the fuel pump in high mode all the time, it will just cycle more gas through the fuel rails, correct? Other than the pump working harder, are there any downsides to the pump running in high mode?
