• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Car sputters when stepping on the gas

yup. unbolt them from the engine, use a ratchet strap to pull and hold the engine forward, or if your supercharged on the coil bracket has a extra hole just past the the hole the dog bone bolt came out of, pull the motor to the rad, then slide the bolt through the pass side dog bone and into the new hole, this should give you room to work. does for me and i wear 3x gloves.

Finished the job without ratcheting the engine. I felt like giving up sometimes but I got some help and we got it done. It was hard but I'm glad I got it done. The car ran well after we finished so I hope that fixes the problem.

I still plan on cleaning the throttle body and MAF sensor though. Thanks for all your posts.

When cleaning the throttle body, I can just use a towel with the cleaner and just wipe it down correct? Should I manually move the throttle plate and clean that as well?

its best to take it off. yes you can move the brass plate, clean its sides as well as the sides of the TB. a 04 you wan to unplug the TB before opening the tb butterfly aka brass plate.

Depending on the carbon build up you might need a tooth brush to scrub it off. Plan to use the whole can of TB cleaner on the TB if its bad.
