The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.
Guess I'll toss mine in here from my other thread since he's got a better title lol. I got a gp sketch around here somewhere of timmaayy2323's car cause I thought it was a cool looking pic. If I find that ill throw it up in here too
no drawing sucks, cuz no matter how good you are you will always suck compared to others. and if youre like me, you could spend an hour on two lines then look up and realize the whole things a piece of ****
soooooooo ive got nothing car realated by my side but i figure id share this early morning pen sketch that was the result of my facebook rant last week
Work on your perspective. A great way to check it, is to take your drawing and flip it to the other side and hold it up to the light. You'll be able to tell 100% if it looks right or not. Do overlays, as in sketch over the sketch until you get it right, you'll make yourself better.
Overlay pictures of cars or other people sketches. Just make sure they are good sketches.. unlike the one spartan posted.. I have a website where you can get some awesome reference if you want. I'll post up a pic or two for you too.
Keep going man, nice to see another designer in the house lol
hows it lookin so far?? and if ur wondering I made the fenders wider.
Ive always wanted to see our cars with fenders wider than the body
If ur having hard time seeing it, its cause its very light.
I will darken the lines later when Im sure of the shape I want
overlay?? not sure what you mean
IMO our cars are wide, but take a look at the TDM Convertible Grand Prix
the wider fenders look amazing. I think they give it a more aggressive stance
I did overlay what I couldn't seem to get right, which was the windows and the lights from a picture that i took. But I drew the rest from there. Hope thats not cheating lol
The wheels are going to be right flush with the fenders, and I'm drawing bumpers/side skirts that go aprox 2-3 inches closer the ground.
There will be more space between the license plate cover and the bottom lip.
Hey dude, it's not cheating, it's all to try and get you to learn the perspective better! We overlay in class, it's not a problem.
and sketch whatever you want, honestly, the number one thing at the end of the day is, is it cool? Can't wait to see it, draw some sweet rims too, remember the rules of perspective.
