Car shutting off.

I have a 98 gtp. It started shutting off while driving. The headlights, radio cuts off also as if you turn the ignition switch off. I'm thinking its the ignition switch going bad but I wanted to check with a few others that may have had the same problem. Also every time it's happen I was turning the wheel.

do the RPMS drop to zero????

my guess is that your CPS sensor took a dump, common problem, easy fix.

wouldnt explain his headlighs and radio going out...do the lights dim and then go out or does it all just drop off in an instant? also will it restart or is it dead after that?

same thing happened to my car, except my gauges were flipping out too.. turned out to be the ignition switch

sounds like a bad ignition switch.

it just shuts off without warning but starts right back up.

I would say ignition switch also. CPS would kill the engine but not the electricity
