I suppose I'll oblige.

Bought it last month, I needed something with a little more get up and go. Still keeping my gas saver (an '07 Prius) for my daily driving, but this comes out to play from time to time. Best $2,000 car I ever bought.

Hi jerZcavy4120--

205k at the time. Considering how immaculate the upholstery and body was, I believe everything the guy said about his car. It was his baby. He garaged it, waxed it regularly, and both the transmission and motor are solid as rocks. The story goes that he lived in Grand Rapids with his family, lost his job, found a new job in KY, and would drive home every Friday night and back to KY on Sunday night for his job, just so he could be with his family. That went on for a couple years until the family could move. I give this story credibility because the cruise control buttons are worn beyond belief (and is in fact currently broken).

I still have the original documentation, sticker that was in the window, bill of sale, owner's manual, the whole shabang from 1999. I am the second owner.

That, and I'm pretty sure his wife made him sell the car. He has four kids (the oldest was ~12), and his daily driver is now a Suburban. :th_biggrin2:

On a more thorough cleaning, I found quite a few Game Boy Advance games under the back seat, including Mario Kart. That was a scream once I found my GBA and salvaged enough batteries out of my TV remotes to play.

Oh, paying cash works wonders when negotiating. His asking price was originally quite a bit higher.

I don't have the same extensive thread for car pics (yet?) but here goes:

And yeah, she's still got it. What's the legalese people like to use here - "filmed on closed course"?

"filmed in mexico" is my personal favorite, when you can see road signs that are clearly in English and U.S. interstate...etc.. :th_shakinghead1:

well it looks like a good car man, can't wait to see what you have planned for it!

not sure if you have already, but, take a good read through this... it will help you get started in the right direction, and possibly answer any questions you may have

and also feel free to take a read through my cars thread, if you'd like that is

Hi jerZcavy4120--

I've done all on that list except for #7 (LIM gasket, done by the previous owner) and #9 (new brakes/rotors, which is coming as soon as funds permit).

I debated going straight for a pulley size drop, but common sense prevails - upgrade the brakes first.

Probably a 3.5 pulley, a cold air intake, and the 3'' downpipe should keep me happy. Any more and I'd just go through a set of tires more quickly.

Any other mods would be to the lighting (the stock headlight assemblies are abysmal), some much needed window tint, and a couple other odds and ends.
