I laugh at this. Considering people don't go to the track that often, and street racing is illegal, what really should our first concern be? Lookin' pretty. There is obviously a difference between absurd and tasteful, but the large majority of the population is not going to notice your go-fast parts and what not, and if it doesn't look pretty, they don't care.

Completely stock, I used to get compliments occasionally about how nice my car was. They weren't talking about speed, they were talking about looks, and that was with plenty of exterior defects (which I've now increased 10x by crashing it twice and ruining the paint on the bumper and no longer get compliments).

Tl;dr: Who cares, if it looks nice, that's all that matters to most people.

if you're more concerned with what other people think abuot your car then you shouldnt own a GP since most people think GP's are what middle-aged women drive.

i do visual stuff to make myself happy, not others. thats why ive got stock paint etc, its becuase its what I wanted.. that and my car wont go much faster lol damn 3.1L

If you don't care what people think about your car, why mod it at all? Works the same way with go-fast parts. "Look at how fast my car is" as compared to "Look at how attractive my car is" are accomplishing the same thing. Pretty ****ing sad if you don't realize that.

Oh by the way, look up top a little ways, I believe this thread is called Car Pictures. So the thread mainly revolves around visuals.

Actually no, the point of having a fast car is so you're not bored driving it. If you think the point of having a fast car is to impress others then you still dont get the point and you're a whore to those you wish to impress.

Honestly, so are yours. And so is your ability to start this stuff all the time too. If other people want to do only visuals, LET THEM. If she wants her Monte pretty, then leave it be.

Oh, and if you're bored driving it, then don't drive it. GTP's are fast as it is, and unless you plan on dumping serious money into it, which you could easily put toward an already faster, more attractive car, you're not going to get too much more as far as speed increases.
 


consider if you're doing more than 50 km/h over the speed limit here you lose your license for a week + your car for a week and a ten thousand dollar fine. Then you'll see why low speed acceleration is so much more crucial than high speed pull.

More attractive car? Any more attractive car is many times more expensive to keep on the road it makes them irrelevant for anyone under 25.

sandman, not a fan of the tinted headlights, but if it works for you, w/e.. i would however look at adding something to the wheels to give them contrast and make them stand out.. they look like black holes to nothing, cant even tell they are aftermarket wheels.

It's a Daytona vinyl, there is a nasty spot in the paint on both sides because of the previous owner.

I was thinking of adding a silver lip to them at one point in the future.

Mask of the tires and the top parts of the spokes. Then paint the lip and the sides of the spokes sparkle silver.
