• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Find a deepwell socket that will fit into the crank where the bolt was. As long as it is enough to bottom out IN the crank then you thread the remover in until it hits the top of the socket sticking out and crank away. Balancer should pop off.

Also, judging by that last pic it looks like your motor mount is trashed. Might be a good time to replace it since you are right there.

you can also leave the bolt in the crank, a 1/2 inch deep, then run the puller bolt on the crank bolt. had one guy who got a socket jammed in the hole, was a night mare for him.

That would probably be a better bet.

OP- Whatever way you can get the holes of the remover to line up. Doesn't matter on the position of the remover.

Replace the motor mount so your axle geometry is back where it should be and your motor isn't rocking around in the bay?

engine de greaser from the parts store works just fine. i like the crc brand, it works well, and it stinks less. buy two cans, one is never enough.
