Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Car died. Need help quick....:(

lol you guys crack me up.

So you think that is the problem?

What causes it? Is it the resistor going bad or the pump? New to electrical problems on my GTP. Its been a good car, never an issue for 160k miles. All of a sudden started acting up.

Resistors build up heat and often they are nothing more than a glorified wire wrap... it develops a break in the wire...when it's cold it makes contact. Heats up..expands and presto..no connection.

It's one of the most common things on a SC's W body. I pulled up to the neighbors house... got back in the car it started and stalled. Started and stalled again, I got out, bent the tab and since that day this summer, I haven't touched it.

ok, I did the relay tab bend.

I guess Ill find out if that is the problem or not. Since it is only an itermittant problem, I just have to wait and see if it does it again or not.

Yes...they are total crap boxes. There is just nothing like an H body Bonneville or G body Park Ave for luxury and comfort while being supercharged and underestimated sleepers.

If you have to have a W body.. I'll always recommend a Regal. :th_winking:

Thanks everyone. Hasnt done it again yet.

Question though, is the problem with the fuel pump? The fuse relay?

I want to make sure that if it is something I need to replace, that I get it done. I dont want to end up on the side of the road later.

thanks

Your problem is the resistor its old dead and needs to be replaced if you dont wanna run in high all the time. The pump itself is fine
