Car cooling fans not working + overheating issues PLZ help.

My fan's don't kick on until I get past 3/4 as well. I would check the relays again. Did you also check all the fuses as well? Maybe you have a bad fuse somewhere.

Worst case scenario, just drive with the AC on.
 


Hey. Hope someone is still reading these. Last thread was a while ago. I’m having close to the same trouble as 04GPWHITE but, my issue is that the fans won’t turn on AND the gauge stays low. I have a scanner and it will go up to 215 degrees before I chicken out and command the fans on(which works fine) and cool it down manually. Fans work when commanded. Relays all good. Ect checks out with ohm meter. If the instrument cluster goes bad will that cause issues or would it be the pcm?
 
I had same issue with two vehicles .2001 N/a and a 1998 n/a . Before I changed the thermostat sensor below the thermostat the fans worked fine then after putting a new one in they stopped working. On one car I bought a few thermostats from salvage yard kept switching them out along with so e new ones until I found one that allowed the fan to turn on. But I couldn't find one to work for my other vehicle. Hopefully this helps a bit.
