Car Alarm

Okay well its done this ever since i got the car. Whenever i lock the car with the key fob the alarm will randomly go off at some point.. but if i lock it with the button inside the car the alarm wont go off even though its armed. Any ideas?

i had this problem for a while. once i replaced my ignition switch due to other problems, the alarm no longer went off randomly.

not saying that's your problem but it's something to look at.

mine goes off when I do stupid tiny things around it, like drive past it in my cobalt, or lightly kick the front bumper.
