Car acts like it's dead helP please

Well get off work got to start the gtp and bam no power and my key is stuck so I got it out and jumPed didnt start right up but let it charge?
Z starts up, so I get home shut it off and it does it again like what the f!
I pop the hood check terminals and looks good , so I see my lights come back on the inside so I try and start it started up by itself and I checked my battery voltage and it's steady holding 12.8 so does anyone have a clue to what might be going on for me? Thanks in advance for trying
 


grab the wiring harness a shake it,
if you have a shorted wire it could be moving with the car and causing a intermittent problem making the car act as if you had a dead battary
 
so the battarys still at 12v after its been sitting for awhile right?
that means you dont have somthing staying on a draining the battary as it sits
 


Nothing draining the battery nothing on it's weird I was in my car to put something away locks work and unlocked but yeah I just started it I'm baffled
 
So you go to start it and ALL power drops out. Everything dead?

Remove the battery cables and clean them. Then tighten em back up and see what you get.
 
middle 12's is normal for a battery with car not running. high 13 or 14 for a running car. Use a multimeter to measure the voltage?
 
Are you just testing at the battery? I would check the voltages at the fuse block under the hood and also at the ignition wires under the dash. If the voltage is off there, you will want to redo your battery cables.
