Can't Get Wiper Arms off...

I took the bolt off but I can't get the arms off. I feel like I'm going to break something. Is there a trick I need to know?

theres a write up by abrasive in the how to section thats talks a lil abut taking the wipers off, it might help you. it under the mysterious water on the passenger side floor board, (sumthing like that)

Pull harder..

seriously, I just had mine off to paint/clear.

They are splined, so it takes a good bit of pressure. Easiest way i found was to pull up on the arm itself, and it should pop right out, (the arm should flex up some, just use it as leverage

The issue I had was by pulling up on the spring loaded side it pushed down on the opposite side.

I found it best to push down on the spring side and pull up on the opposite side.

I had mine off to paint as well.

Nice flat black.

No more reflecting light into my eyes.

i was gonna suggest going to autozone and renting a puller. usually a small puller will work. might even carry a wiper arm puller

If your knuckles arnt busted you'reeither a pro or you arnt learning i still have an in long scar on my knuckle from changing spark plus in my first car back in high school. The plug broke loose and my knuckle punched something in the engine bay, didnt hurt much but i looked down and all i saw was a white split(Im black so bad news) and then it filled with blood. That plus football practice everyday amounted to awesome scar LOL:th_mechanic:

Psh, just yank the ****ers off, its all metal, cant hurt it, XD.

Mine came off fairly easily though.

And x2 on the flat black. Almost all the trim on my car is going flat black ATM....looks great.

I took mine off today and uh, it takes some persuadeing. Had to fix that mysterious water in the passenger side floorboard. That write up abrasive did was a money saver

Sorry about the bad link.. Some reason I'm pretty good at posting dead links. haha.. With out a doubt it's a nice little tool to have sitting around. It's good for a lot more then just battery's and wipper arms.
