• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Can't get my DHP registered

i can find no speed setting for the key span or anything that will show its speed, it only works on the lower speed 57,600.

open up the key span assistant, check its comm port, and speed if it shows. match the comm ports and speed in dhp.

so your going right into the sierial port? or you have a usb cable set up?

oh and was your car running? if so its car to on, not running.

Lol I no all this dude I had it hooked up earlier and uploaded a bin and everything I was just showing what it's doing.. I have a bootleg usb to serial cable

its failing the registration of the cable. once its done it should keep. ive gone back and fourth between two pc with dhp and its worked every time since they were both set up.

make sure the cables are all tight too.

Did that too.. I've tried everything you can think of probably what drivers do you have for the adapter maybe I will try it then

I'm installing XP threw VMware on my Windows 8 laptop.. I'm picking my son up in a few though so I can't mess with the car until Sunday night but I will keep you guys in the loop.. if anyone has any ideas please let me know thanks!

I tried XP and the driver works BUT I out of curiousity unplugged the DHP from the car while it "registered" and it did the same exact thing as it did when it was connected therefore it is either the tuner that's bad or the usb to serial cable.. Just has me stressed cause it worked yesterday now it won't

it has to be plugged into the car, car key turned to run, not running, just on. or wont wont register.

pretty sure its getting power from the obd2 port. check that fuse, for the cigg lighter. maybe it blew? or test it with a phone charger or something.

Your missing the point I tried like normal didn't work.. I disconnected the cable and it did the same thing as when it is connected.. so it's either the cable or tuner

it wont register unplugged, does the same fail of that search bar if its unplugged, i know cause i did it too, usb was unplugged for like 4 tries, was like duhhhhh.
