Cant get DHP powrtuner to work windows 8

Right click and make sure you have it set to run as an administrator and run it in either XP or Windows 7 compatibility mode.

you need to install .net framework 1.1. then the com ports matched from the pc to the tuner. and match the usb speed and tuners speed.

pics are in that thread. its shows where the settings are found. what usb adapter do you have? did you install its driver?

Still saying unable to connect it to interface after it says reading cable for 10-15 seconds. Any ideas now I changed the com ports around and the speed the only one where it says reading cable is com1 speed 115k

I set the speed and com port the same as the one I used in the DHP. I did install the .net stuff. I tried running as admin. Also fixed the driver issue thst is an apparent problem eith windows 8. I think it may be windows 8 being a huge POS.

you try running it in win 7 or xp compatibility mode?

i pulled my hair out for 3 weeks getting mine set up. in person i can do it in like 30 minutes now. that includes the down load time. registering the cable when your do it right, that scroll bar that fails over and over, you never see it when it goes through.

Looks like it came off of a mac book or something. even when I just plug the tuner in without it being plugged into the laptop there is a flashing redlight. I cant find anything in the manual about that the guy I bought it from said it shouldnt flash

Jesus man! wtf does it say on the f ing adapter? who makes it? did you install a driver for it?

i cant help if you wont reply properly. this is the 3 rd damn time im asking you this. and the last time...

oh, and leave the charger on while you do the set up deal. and when you read and flash.

its not a problem to do that. its also ok to have the laptop plugged in to a wall socket. its what i do when im working through my car. i got a piss poor battery right now.

its not ok to power your laptop from a power inverter from the cars power port. thats a huge no no.
