Can't Figure Out Positive or Negative Wires

1998 GP GT. Stock speakers have a solid red wire and a black wire with a red stripe. Red always meant positive to me but the wire with a stripe is throwing me off. Anybody figure it out yet? Stock speakers themselves have no way of telling. I do not have a volt meter. Thanks!

A lot of cd players have the wiring diagram them on it but in the past the cars that I have dealt with is that the striped wires are always the negative ones
