• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Can't break free front axle nut.

When you don't know what you are talking about its better you stay out of the conversation. Again, neither one of those things would cause a "humming noise"

First, I said just a thought.
Second, yes it can.
Third, if you don't have anything to say that would help the OP then get out.

When my wheels were out of alignment I had horrible vibration and A HUGE HUMMING NOISE. So yes they can make that noise. And also my friend's truck hums because of the tire tread so essentially anything can cause it. We are here to help people as hippo said. Man, oh man cccc ccan't we all jj-just get along?

First, you're wrong
Second, no it can't
Third, I posted advice earlier

Sorry, but your bad alignment didn't cause the humming, something else did. I had my Stealth WAY out of alignment from having the front end apart several times and never once had a humming noise.

So you want to sit in my car and I re-create the issue and you tell me otherwise? You weren't there to experience it so don't call on something that YOU don't know about. My ears and my ass know what I heard and felt and when I put the stockers back on it solved the problem. Every car is different pal. But then again, I'm a dumb ass and absolutely no clue what I'm talking about.

Saying to get bigger balls and muscles is not relevant advice..

Just because your Stealth never hummed from alignment, doesn't mean someone else cant. Stop being an ass.

Out of BALANCE wheels can cause vibration, anyone with half a brain knows that, but a bad alignment will NOT cause a humming noise. There is a difference between vibration and humming.

You obivously didn't read because I did mention that sometimes they are overly tight since I did lift a car once from an over-tight axle nut. And my car was SEVERELY out of alignment and didn't hum. I have driven several cars that were out of alignment and not one of them hummed. There is nothing to cause a humming noise when its out of alignment so NO it wont cause a hum. I've been working on cars since before you were born so I think I know a little more than you.

have the wheels been balanced and aligned recently? just a thought.
Neither one of those issues would cause a rubbing noise.

Stop contradicting yourself, dumbass.
