Can you replace worn buttons on '06 temperature control/DIC?

I am looking at picking up a 2006 GT, but several of the buttons on the dash are worn completely off. I know that this is a common problem as I've seen some sort of wear on every '04+ Grand Prix that I've looked at.

Can these buttons be replaced or do I need to buy whole new control unit for the A/C & heat as well as the 5-button DIC?

Basically, the middle DIC button is worn, so is one of the "heated seat" buttons, and one "set" of the triangles (red up triangle for hotter, blue down triangle for cooler).

I've searched and search and couldn't find anything about it. It seems a common problem so I am surprised that there isn't SOMETHING for it...

You could certainly repaint it by hand with a fine brush

OR

You could try Reflective Concepts and see if they'll make you decals.

or...you know, hit up morad for a decent used module.
 
Do you know if the temp control buttons are as easy as the DIC buttons to replace?

The previous owner must have used nail polish to (very badly) paint them. They are horrible.

I did send a note off to Reflective Concepts (thanks for the tip there).

Maybe I'll have to see what Morad charges for them.
 
Yes and no. Don't you love ambiguous answers. You can take it apart and the buttons come out. Easy to do. The problem is no one sells buttons. Only comes as a complete unit.

If all the lights work, you can get a used one with good buttons and swap it out.
