Can the mielage computer be adjusted?

Hey All,

I have a GTP (See sig) and am assuming the econ/range/mileage computer is calculating based off of stock hardware... which I do not have. Is there any way to adjust this or reprogram it so that it is accurate with my setup?

Its no huge deal, but I would love for the range/mpg/fuel used to be accurate. Something though tells me that you can have Accurate or you can have more power... :th_scratchhead:

Thoughts?
(edit: Yea, i see I spelled mileage wrong. I was educated in a public school.)

I'll just pull this out of my ass:
You'll need to reprogram (with a tuner) whatever it is that reads the wheel speed sensor if you are running wheels/tires that do not equal stock diameter or the diameter has changed since you last tuned it.
The rest is sensed by your fuel pump's floaty doodad (so that's not wrong) and your O2 sensor... which isn't wrong, either, unless you broke it.

Tires are stock sizes... I wouldn't think the fuel pump floatie calculated how hard you were pressing on the gas.

o2 sensor is windeband but read by the ECU correctly.

For the odometer to be accurate, take it to a dealer and have the BCM read, it should have the actual mileage and a tech 2 should be needed to adjust it.

If you mean the DIC, do it manually for mpgs.

Nope. It's what tells the gauge how much gas is in the tank. You're looking for throttle position sensor, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm too stupid to know what you're trying to tell me here. Could you rephrase that, please?

Hmm, by "hardware," do you mean "injectors?" I don't think that or E85 is going to affect your readings.

Your talking about the average mpg that shows in the the diver info center right? not the odometer reading. If so It will never be accurate.

ya sinc...and you burn through it a hell of a lot quicker....BUT it's waay cheaper and they said it's like what? 110 octane or something like that. I dont remember exactly.
