Can the "dead" analog onstar box in the truck just be removed?

Does removing the onstar box and the bose amp from the trunk have any side effects on anything else? I already have a 4 channel amp so the bose amp isn't doing anything.... I think.
 


You can remove the onstar box, mine got filed into the cylindrical filing cabinet. Are you running the speakers off the 4 channel amp? If so then yes you can remove it.
