Can I replace my odd PCM number with a regularly used number?

Hello guys, I am trying to replace my vehicle's PCM and found an odd "SERV. NO.". I pulled this PCM from my '03 Chevy Impala LS (See below) and want to replace it with the more readily available "SERV. NO." then reprogram that PCM with my old file. I have a couple of questions though:

1. What numbers should I be concerned with? The "SERV. NO.", "HDW NO.", etc.?
2. Can I replace one SERV. NO. 12583826 with SERV. NO. 12209624?
3. Can I do a full rewrite with my current OSID and .bin?
4. Has anyone else seen this SERV. NO.? I can't find my number on the usual spreadsheet

I dont have a solid answer on this. Technically its a bad idea to play osid roulette blind against a pcm, so I would proceed with caution as there is no unbrick if you put a bad file on it. It seems like I have had a hard time ID'ing a few pcms before and I just went with the delco/delphi on the front, and made sure to flash the delphi ones with the x624 operating system.
 
Thank you. An answer for those who wonder, I won't be doing it again. Tried it, it didn't work. It seemed to at first but by the end of it my dash was dead and freaking out. I'm going to pick up the right one X826 this weekend (just found it) and ill update y'all soon.

Picked up two used xx826 PCMs this morning. How do I program it to my car? Do I just load a full write of my old stock file? At this point I have installed one of two, plugged in my battery, turned key to acc (no response), turn further to on (no response), and finally tried the start position (no response). The only response is that the check engine light is on and a slight ticking noise from behind my passenger side dash.

i assumed I'd be able to plug it in and load a full write file but no go. What am I missing?

I just jumped it this morning. I connected it up to my rover and its better. How about the rewrite of a used pcm. Do I just physically install it then normal full flash from there?
 


I mean, I just jumped it this morning and its dead again. Taking battery to get checked before I try my last computer. The car died before the flash completed and now PT won't recognize the osid after it did before it started the first flash before it died. I hope that makes sense. This process is becoming very frustrating. I'm about ready to sell tuner and by a canned tune. That Gould be my frustration of trying to learn without a manual or guide.
 
First off, thank you DarkHorizon! I finally got it up and running. But now, my whole P&P flowed top swap kit is up for sale! ;-)
