Ok, I just told a guy from another forum that I would buy his plog from him. Its brand new and never used. He said it was painted. For some reason I thought that meant "ceramic painted". I just went on zzp's site and realized there was 3 options. 1. hi temp painted 2. Ceramic painted 3. Stainless.

I just read almost every thread on this site concerning plog and with my understanding the hi temp paint will flake off in not time and look like **** along with not holding in heat nearly as well as ceramic or stainless ect ect.

I already told the guy I would buy it and I would rather not pull out of the deal. Now the ceramic paint doesnt hold in heat im assuming, and if you wrap the plog it might crack. Is there ceramic paint I can get somewhere and repaint it? Or is this a pointless battle?

They should sell jet hot coating in a can, LOL

I dont know that I would paint over it because if the underlying coat looses its adhesion then its just going to take the top coat (in this case your ceramic coating) with it. Additionally, I think the ceramic paint that you can get in the auto stores is only rated to like 1200* intermittently so I dont know how well it would hold up either.
