Can i beat a dodge stealth?

Ok hear's the low down, Kid at school's got a dodge stealth, i think it's stock, don't know the model. Can i beat him with my stock GT? What model should i look out for. I hear the 3000GT is pretty stought.

Base model is 165 hp. If its a R/T or ES then no chance in hell. Both models came with 222 hp and the R/T turbo is rated at 300HP. If its just the base model then you might have a chance.
 
well if i ever mod my car, i'd put like an 06 GTO rear end in it, and a like 5.3(pickup, not that one from the FWD cars) with an auto trany and prob. a camaro front end. A lot of work and prob. like 10grand later I'd have the ultamate GP, but i'd make it a sleeper. Maybe a nice sounding exhaust but keep all the badges stock, so i can whoop all those ricers and they won't know what hit em. That'd be 290ish hp without mods to the V8 yet. lol if only i was a millionare and mechanicaly inclined

nah u just need money if your not able to do your own work but i do my own work so i guess take classes n read bro? ha
 
Down low I think you may be able to launch better than him (they have MASSIVE wheel hop) but up top they will destroy these engines.
 


Dump a half of bottle of DR. Pepper in his gas tank at lunch and then race him that day after school. I am pretty sure no matter which trim line it is you will win. :)
JK Line em up and do it! If you lose wait a week and rerace him using the DR. Pepper. HAHAHAHA
 
i think i'll use the DR pepper idea, that way i'm only out 2 bux at most. Moding can be expensive. Ill have to wait for school to start up, havn't seen his car around town. If i do race i'll try to get a passenger with a cam. I might be able to launch, been practicing at the lights and not cherping the tires. lol i got a story about practicing at the lights but that's for a different day.
 


You will have to get the correct model for us to let you know as I believe some of these model cars came with AWD.......if so and it is the higher HP version, you don't stand a chance. Also 3000GT's are mitsu's and the same thing goes for them......some AWD, some different HP motor packages. The Stealths are made by Dodge but it depends on model.....fwiw
