not positive but i believe the bottom one is just a hard drive for storing and playing music....essentially a oversized mp3 player
 
Seems he coulve installed the HD player instead of the CD player and had the best of both worlds in one unit. But maybe the CD player had more functions/adjustments. Plus he is cool lol
 


it is a mp3 of sorts. kinda like the kenwood music keg but alot better. i was gonna get one for my truck until i decided to use a xbox harddrive.
