hello im going to install the stattama st2 cam in my l29 my car is turbo what supporting mods do i need for that type of cam ??? i heard that i need to use the ls1 retainers ...would the springs also work good for cam?? or maybe the ls2 springs ?? im asking thos questions because i have a set of ls1 and ls2 springs and retainers !!

Retainers you can use, springs you might be able to, but I don't know the spring rates. I have LS6 springs on my car with my rockers.

Might want to go at least 105's or LS6's.

You'll need LSx retainers.

3800 retainers would have your springs compressed too much, probably result in binding.

Yes my car its turbo charged 100% build by me every single part was custom made by me and runs pretty fast for me i just need help with a cam that i bought so any one knows whats the specs for the ls6 valve springs ?? Or is anyone selling 105lb valve springs??or where i can find them cheap?

"when it stops making power"

You wont find a limit so you can basically shift it whenever... Due to my gearing/tires/horsepower, i shift it high, but for most guys it wont matter much.

I was talking to stattatam customer support a?nd they said that ls6 springs were ok and that the comp105 were perfect and the 130 were not requird i dont want to use 130s becuase they told me i would need to change ghe timeing chain to dobble roller and i dont want to buy a dobble roller timing chain any help on what should i do i have the stattama stage2 turbo cam i also have the ls1 retainers i just need help on the springs my shift points are at 62000rpm but it will be retuned after the cam install what shift point would you guys recommend

F7 helps because, that was one awesome run on sentence.

105's with a new timing chain/dampner will be fine.

Keep the shift points at 6200.

Enjoy.

well with lower shift points then you go to id assume you wouldnt float the 105s.

Whats the point of a turbo and cam if you are not going to setup the valve train properly to shift it where you should?

Cylinder pressure causes valve float, depending on the setup it could float at 4k.

Can you get away with 105s on a mild blower cam setup? YES. Can you do it with a turbo? No.

My car floats my 105s and they aren't even the crappy comps.

IF you have a turbo and an aftermarket camshaft you are only going backwards by using a poor spring rate.

I guess no dout going with dobble roller 130s and a good tune .... Sad part i will have to wait longer to get the car started ;(

I noticed that as well. Why trade your cam when your asking about mods for the Stattama ST2. Maybe he changed his mind?
OP?
