Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Cam questions

Stock rockers will end up having more lift due to their design. That, and the moment of inertia on an aftermarket rocker is much larger, which has shown to negate any benefits of weight and the roller tip.
Hmm idk there's lots of dyno sheets that show differently but either way it doesn't matter I'll just stick with stock.

Not on a 3800. In fact, you'll find the opposite, unless you find info from "certain companies" that like to skew dyno results. It's also no coincidence that stock style rockers hold the fastest 1/4 mile records.

Should I replace the oil pump or do anything else when I'm all up in there? I know I need to replace my pan gasket. Someone said it would be a good time to do it

Ok sounds good! I talked to my dad about what i was going to do and he just sits there talking about how i am going to blow up my tranny and I'm thinking in my head.. This guy right here, is really smart, and i, not so much.. 300whp daily driver on a stock transmission with no spare car here we come!

I daily drove my gp from 86k to around 200k on the stock trans....just be smart with it.
I am very smart with it. I do get on it occasionally but I never launch it, I purposely have **** tires that get 0 traction and I don't slam on it in 2nd 3rd or 4th to the point it downshift. So pretty careful I think. How much hp were you pushing when you did that?

Gesus. Ya that's deffinately more power then I'll be putting down with e85 and an s1x. Plus I only have 100k miles on the car and it was a grandma that drove it before me, and it was a gt so no real power, andddd all the fluids were perfect when I got it, so it wasn't a neglectful grandma lol

I haven't heard anyone on gpf ever talk about having to "degree" the cam when installing but I just want to make sure that's not something I need to do? Thanks

I've actually had two pumps fail. Seen a few other people with pump failures. While its that far apart I'd see it as cheap insurance.

Is there a certain brand you've found to be the best quality?

I can't imagine a situation that would be more important than 500-1000k dollars and atleast a whole weekend of my life to replace an engine lol
