• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

cam possibilities?

XP Cam! I still DD my huge A$$ cam and get well over 25mpg but Im not very easy on my car when the weather is nice. Just ask bluegtp91 he's rode in my car and knows im not easy on it lol

why is everyone so set on the xp when the s1x has outperformed it so many times.

zzp claims highest hp for stock heads. but dyno #'s dont really mean jack. no dyno was created equal. no two dyno's dyno the same. most dyno numbers are a calabrated number/correction. you can make a dyno read whatever you want it to read.

im just sayin...

I'm just sayin you could be sayin the same thing about the XP as you are backing up the S1X...all dynos and tunes are different...so some S1X's are better...some XP's are better...its all in the tune. Size wise...taken from their websites...

S1X: .514"/.526", lobe separation angle: 115
XP: .520/.536, lobe separation angle: 116

See what I mean man...not trying to start something, just throwing that out there.

it is bigger. but what is the fastest xp car??? parkers went 12.7 at 107 with a fullsize intercooler and nitto's. 1.9 60" and that was in GREAT air.

yes the tune makes all the diffrence. but s1x cars seem to be going faster.

im not trying to start anything either, but from what ive seen the s1x outperforms. and its like everybody gets cought up on the xp because of dyno claims.

Parker's...went like 12.2 before all is said and done. And I am sure there is a faster XP car...keep in mind they use them in turbo cars too.

And to vouch...zach drives like he stole it :p

i agree with the s1x comment. it under "good tune and conditions" circumstances an s1x car should be faster than an xp just because of the grind. it also sounds cooler too.

when did parker go 12.2??? it was not long after he went to the track that he blew it up. going to the same track as him and knowing him and some of his friends personaly, it never went past 12.7. he might have "said" it did, but thats another story.

im just saying for all the hype of the xp i sure do hear about the s1x out performing it alot. size dont always matter. but thats what it seems like its all about.

an illinois guy who knows more than just about 95% of all of the 3800 people ran 11.97 with an s1x. he switched to an xpz and ran slightly faster at an 11.94 or so. if you have the right setup a cam on stock heads will run VERY well.

i will not have stock heads< i am going to get a full p+p along with new springs, over sized valves, and hardened seats. along with the possibility rockers. and thnx for the debatable info thus far!

if your going that far get a custom grind from prj. i would second getting the heads flowed then givin comp cams the specs. but again those flow benchs are like dyno's. no two read the same, so there is always that verable.

i think when it comes to off the shelf cams, intense > zzp

i dont know exactly. his user name on here is lageR, but on clubgp its something different. he really only posted on here a few times when he was demodding. even still, the guy ported his own heads and everything.

yea.

i got these heads ive been working on and ive been looking at the stage 2. but ive also been thinkin about the s1x, seems like it would work well with spray. but thats down the road.
