just wanted 2 get everybody's opinion on a cam.what cam' are good? if I should even get a cam? I am getting the ssm90 kit with a 3.4 pulley,and after knowing what I know now about the NIC cam I was thinking about the xp cam bcuz I don't have any access 2 wideband tuning for the NIC cam.thoughts? (keep n mind im looking 2 run n the low 13's)
 


you dont need a cam to run low 13s. rockers will get you there easily and they are cheaper, easier to install, and easiest on the valvetrain.

rockers, headers, ~3.2 pulley, maybe a ported blower/throttle body, and the rest of the supporting mods with a good tune will get you in that power range. that will get you there if you can get a good launch.
 
3.2" on a L36 block will be kinda intense... I'm not expecting to run lower than a 3.4" with everything I'm doing.
 
well I think u need a gtp balancer 2 run anything under a 3.25,ssm90 dosent come with that.but idk I love the sound of a cam lol
 
didnt realize we were talking an l36 block. get a cam if you so desire, but there is no reason for one if you only want to go lower 13s.
 
If you are wanting i'd get an XP. I have/had one and I liked it. That cam will put you in real low 12's with an intercooler.Without...maybe 12.7's?
 


Also, I'm about to gp with a custom cam from comp. So i will also recomend that.
