Hi guys, so besides for my cam, i still need to get modified retainers and 105lb valve springs. Besides a new water pump, aluminum coolant elbows, and single timing chain, what else would i need? All of those were recomennded by Paul at PRJ (besides for the single timing chain, he recommended double but im sure singles enough with 105 springs). I was thinking about ZZP's install call that inlcudes:
  • Timing chain dampener
  • 12 COMP CAMS reuseable rocker bolts
  • supercharger gasket (except L36/22)
  • 2 coolant passage O-rings (except L36/22)
  • GM oem aluminum intake gasket set
  • front cover gasket
  • ARP assembly lube
  • valve cover gaskets
  • crank bolt
  • cam bolt

    Also, with the single timing chain, should i just get the chain, or the rollmaster single chain timing set?
 


Grommets but those should come with the Vc gaskets


And oil

And that's all I can tell you need beside what you've listed.
 


Don't reuse your cam bolt. That's a bad idea.

I would just use a new stock chain and dampner as well, and plan on replacing it every 30k miles or so. The double will last longer, but I don't really like the extra noise and vibration that is causes when it's not needed.
 


Should I go with intenses Manley retainers? Or with zzp's modified or titanium retainers. Idk the pros or cons
 
new cam and crank bolts are a good idea since they are designed to stretch (one time use) like head and rocker bolts. i used the manely retainers and viton seals, no leaks. and a new single chain and dampener will be fine, and as long as you replace any gasket you rip off (if its old) you will be fine...oh yeah and get an S1X!
 
Too late, already have the VS lol. Ill check out the manleys. So don't go with the titanium retainers Zzp sells? The "modified" ones or manleys pretty much?
