• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Caliper slide pin not sliding.

Yup, the dust boot is press fit. Gently pull and or twist. If you have new one's, pull the hell out of the old one's. LOL

And the boot only needs to be removed if being replaced. It can stay put for the caliper bolt.
Yeah mine is staying because I don't have replacement ones. Lol

So....the lower caliper bolt is getting stripped out. I went.to the auto parts places and all they have are the ones shown in the previous post (no rubber without buying another kit). My top bolt had no rubber at the end, my lower does. I go to the local junkyard this morning and the first caliper bolt I pull from the bottom does not have the rubber...the top did. Ummm, I check 3 other cars...all different (1 with rubber bolt on top, 2 with rubber on bottom.

Wtf? The gm parts diagram doesn't help for crap either. Must not matter.

Pretty sure only one pin per caliper (on my car) have the end rubber piece. I think that piece just acts like a guide, so having it on all 4 shouldn't be a bad thing.
