Caliper pin bolt

I've had trouble figuring out if only the rear brake calipers have the two different caliper pin bolts (ones you grease). One of the bolts has a bushing on the tip and the other one does not. I know the bolt with the bushing goes in the top postion, but do the front and rear calipers both have the bolt with the bushing?

Just the rear I believe.

Thanks Zef. In a panic I was just looking at Rockauto's parts list and it appears to me it is both front and rear. If it is indeed just the rear, then the person that did a rotor replacement this weekend has nothing to be concerned with. I did my brakes so long ago, that I don't remember for sure, but like you I'm inclined to believe it was only the rear brakes.

If you are talking about the bolts that hold the caliper and slide into the little boots, then my fronts have little bushings on them. In most cases the bolt will pull out and not the bushing, but I do have one in which the bushing will pull out with the bolt.

If we are talking about the same thing then the fronts do have them, at least on mine they do.

Thanks Scotty. I'm worried now. Although I was only watching on the fronts I know the left front top bolt wasn't the one with the bushing. It wasn't going in for the installer so I helped with that one. When we got to the rear and I saw the bushing and was thinking awe crap, I remember these bolts not being the same when I did my car.:th_shakinghead1: Wonder what happens if they are installed wrong...at least long term, since I guess they've worked fine so far.
