california profile 1000M amp...HELP?

:th_wtf: :th_wtf: I have a cali profile 1000M amp hooked up in my grand prix and just the other day it seemed to start messing up. The amp will power the subs up to a certain volume level, which is only volume level 3 and it can go up to volume level 40, and then the amp cuts off. Then a few seconds later it will cut back on then rite back off. The led light blinks and the subs dont get any power after that. :confused: If you can help me figure it out then write me bak please. thanks
 


What the *$%%???!!!! Does anyone at all read the friggin' forum descriptions at the top of the page. We have an audio section and this ended up in How To Write ups? Some one explain this crap to me......
 
How would I know if it was going into protect mode? And is there anyway to fix it if it is in protect mode?
 


Make sure you have a solid ground and the ground wire is the same gauge as the power wire. I had this problem before and thought it was the amp, but i got a new ground wire and got it down to bare metal and it worked perfect
 
Sounds like protect to me. Sounds like your running too low of an impediance for the amp. for example: if its stable 2ohm mono and your running it 1ohm mono. Now if has always worked and just started messing up it could be a number of things. But i would check impediance first
