Hey Forum,

I am working on a "cold air intake" and making a video of it for youtube, other then a change in the way the engine sounds how much of a increase in power can i expect from this. In other words how restrictive in the stock intake system compared to a homemade CAI? The materials i'm useing consist of:

Spectre cone filter
3 inch diameter 45 degree PVC elbow and connectors

5-7 seahorsies..the corrugated tubing leading to the airbox is the largest restriction so do not use that

i have 2 setups
cold air intake, for summer, coldest air all the time.
warm air intake, for winter, warmer air= better mpg
your gonna feel a difference, only if your car is fully warmed up and sitting at a light for 5 minutes, you wil take off alot slower then a cold air intake but once you start moving its all the same.
