C5 ZO6 Wheels on a 97-03

Does anyone run the front 17" C5Z wheels on their GP (97-03)? Was offered 4 of them and I love the way they look and wanted to put them on. the specs are as follows
Wheel size: 17x9.5
Offset: +54mm
Tire Size: 265/40/17 would probably do a 275/40
Back spacing 7.38"
I found some 5x115 to 5x120 conversion hubs that are 1" thick on eBay. The tire is shorter then our size just wider.

Our offset Is 52mm. I feel like it would work. Trying to find someone with a similar wheel being that its only a 17" the width is what would be a problem.

The adapters I'd need are 1" thick. Someone somewhere has got to have put 5x120 wheels on a GP

I have 1" spacers on stock 17". They stick out past the fender by half inch. I'm lowered 1.7" also but I'm pretty sure you are not going to fit another +1" under there.

Me = left, stock = right. Look at the difference in the front stick out.

The stock 17's pictured are only 6.5" wide. As he stated he has 1" spacers on them. Add another 3" for the 9.5" wide wheels and you are going to look absolutely ridiculous.

Also the specs on those being 54mm offset, will change to ~29mm offset with the 1" spacer.

As previously stated no one runs a 10" wide wheel on a W body. Most people stick with 8" wide. Hell I thought of throwing my 9" wide, 30mm offset wheels on it and they wouldn't have worked without rubbing.

Your 10" wide 28mm offset (after spacer) wheels aren't going to work.

Just to clarify, his 9.5"+ 1"spacer would only be 2.5"ish closer to fender.

So you'd be going an additional 1.5 past what you see on my car.

Some very smart people have offered their advice on why this
car/wheel/tire combination would either not work or look goofy as all hell.
They all agree on one point...Don't do it.
I've never been one to play follow the leader so with that in mind, I say go for it!
Post a picture showing us how the tires don't rub & don't stick out so far from the fenders that it looks like it should be driven by a circus clown with big floppy feet!
Let us know how it works out for ya.

And be sure to put some rock hard springs on all 4 corners.
Well unless you don't plan on turning the wheels left or right.

Because tires don't move straight up and down, there is still a chance it COULD work. Obviously without camber and the rotation of the control arms etc, my wheels wouldn't clear. Stock good condition struts and springs MAY clear the fender but it's one of those things that math and probability is working against you.
